Discipline Policies

Miscellaneous rules and information

Learners who violate school policies, rules and regulations are subject to disciplinary measures.
Violations are reported to the Discipline Committee who conducts investigations and verifications to give light on the reports submitted. The Discipline Committee shall deliberate and make decisions as to what appropriate and needed sanctions are to be served by the learners.
Parents/guardians and concerned learners shall be notified and shall be invited for a conference to discuss the sanctions. Parents/guardians and learners then sign an agreement to signify conformity with the action taken by the school.
The Guidance Counselor shall be notified regarding the case/s and shall be asked to make necessary processing and counseling to the referred learner offender/s.

Stern Warning

  •   Note that a stern warning shall only happen ONCE.
  •   Non-compliance to the warning shall put the learner offender to first-level probation.
  •   A stern warning shall not only be given by the POD officer but all faculty and ASP members have the authority to warn any learner offender.

Offenses that Call for Probation

Probation is a period of supervision over a learner offender. A learner offender on probation is ordered to follow certain conditions set forth by the POD officer and/or the Department Coordinator, often under the supervision of the POD officer or assigned personnel. During this testing period, a learner offender faces the threat of being grounded or suspended if found continuously violating the rules and regulations of the school. Below are the offenses that call for a learner offender to be under probation:
  •   Consistently NOT wearing proper and incomplete school uniform
  •   Inappropriate haircut and hairstyle
  •   Improper conduct during assemblies and school activities
  •   Tardiness
  •   Cutting classes
  •   Continuous unexcused absences
  •   Loitering
  •   Improper use of school facilities
Learners who are reported to have been doing acts as stated above shall be investigated and if found guilty shall be put under disciplinary probation.

Tutorial Policy

To further enrich the academic learning skills of the learners outside formal classroom procedure, tutorial sessions have been offered over the years by the English and/or Chinese faculty members, and its conduct is approved by the School Principal with specific guidelines.

Offenses that Call for Detention

Detention requires the learners to go to a designated area of the school during specified period of time on a school day to do community acts of service. Such acts shall be determined and deliberated by the Discipline Committee appropriate to the age and condition of the learner offender.
As a form of disciplinary measure, any missed learning activities that a learner offender under detention due to his absence may not be given any special treatment by the teachers.
Below are the offenses that call for a learner offender to be detained:
  •   Quarrels among classmates and/or schoolmates like shouting and threatening
  •   Defacing ID card or library card
  •   Reading pocketbooks which are not related to the lesson during academic hour
  •   Running and/or shouting along the lobbies and stairways
  •   Bringing gadgets without permit
  •   Littering
  •   Continuous truancy
  •   Destruction of school property

Offenses that Call for Suspension

Detention requires the learners to go to a designated area of the school during specified period of time on a school day to do community acts of service. Such acts shall be determined and deliberated by the Discipline Committee appropriate to the age and condition of the learner offender.
As a form of disciplinary measure, any missed learning activities that a learner offender under detention due to his absence may not be given any special treatment by the teachers.
Below are the offenses that call for a learner offender to be detained:
  •   Vandalism
  •   Defiance to school authority and school mates
  •   Stealing, including participation to stealing
  •   Expression of demeaning words, malicious name calling, verbal or written or in the social media
  •   Gambling and solicitation of money or any kind
  •   Possession of pornographic materials, print or non-print
  •   Dishonesty in any form
  •   Fighting resulting to physical injuries
  •   Tampering and/or falsification of documents
  •   Possession of alcoholic beverages, deadly weapons, and/or any smoking paraphernalia
