Broad guidelines for school operations

Dress Code

Parents, guardians, and visitors should also dress appropriately when in the school campus especially during school activities like year-end programs. Short shorts, sleeveless blouses, plunging neckline blouses and/or dresses are some of the discouraged dress code for female parents, guardians, and visitors. Male parents, guardians, and visitors on the other hand are discouraged to wear hat, helmet, “sando” and inappropriate clothes in the school campus. Slippers and t-shirts are prohibited during formal school activities.

Fees Schedule

Parents or guardians with children enrolled in the school are required to make applicable tuitions payment as follows:
  •   Monthly
  •   Quarterly
  •   Semi-annually
  •   Full
Tuitions payment may be directly to the school or through banks affiliated by the school. Monthly school fee reminders are released from the school to inform the parents/guardians of their obligations. The administrative support personnel in-charge shall call the parents/guardians for missed scheduled payment.

Social Hall and Mess Hall

The PYCS social hall/school ground is basically for the learners’ learning activities purposes. School activities programmed in the school calendar are held in the social hall.
Activities of PYCS personnel with the Board of Trustees are held in the 3 rd floor of the Mess Hall. Also, Board of Trustees’ meetings are held there.
The social hall is open to alumni for school visit and sports activities on weekends. General cleaning and disinfection activities are done on Saturdays, and even Sundays whenever needed.

Tutorial Policy

To further enrich the academic learning skills of the learners outside formal classroom procedure, tutorial sessions have been offered over the years by the English and/or Chinese faculty members, and its conduct is approved by the School Principal with specific guidelines.
The school hereby presents its tutorial policy, and every English and/or Chinese faculty member is mandated to observe the strictest implementation of it.
  •   Any faculty member is prohibited from tutoring a learner who is under his class for the current school year.
  •   Any English and/or Chinese faculty is strictly required to submit list of tutees on the 4th week after the opening of classes.
  •   Concerned English and/or Chinese faculty member must inform the School Principal regarding the changes by submitting an updated list as necessary.
  •   The list should include the names of tutees, grade levels, class names, place, date & time, and monthly fees.
  •   In case/s where an English and/or Chinese teacher accepts tutee/s in the middle of the school year, he must submit to the office his list immediately a day after the conduct of his first tutorial session indicating whether the tutee is a regular tutee or a seat-in tutee.
SEAT-IN TUTEE refers to a tutee who is receiving tutorial services during examination weeks only.
  •   A learner who made it to the list of Academic Achievers should not be receiving tutorial services from any of the PYCS English and/or Chinese faculty.
  •   The tutorial session should be conducted strictly after official school hours, and should be done outside the school campus.
  •   Any English and/or Chinese faculty who violates any of the tutorial policy shall be sanctioned accordingly.
    •   1st Violation – Stern Warning through a school memorandum
    •   2nd Violation – 10-day Suspension WITHOUT Pay
    •   3rd Violation – Dismissal

Guidelines and Policies on Lost and Found Items

  •   All learners are expected to safekeep their own belongings / things.
  •   Money and valuables are brought to the Admin office under the care of the Admin Staff.
  •   Learners may claim their lost items from the Admin office on the same day or during health/lunch breaks.
  •   Inquiries about lost valuables may be made at the Admin office.
  •   To facilitate returning of the lost and found articles to owners, learners are encouraged to label all their belongings properly.
  •   Lost items are displayed and/or presented during morning assemblies.
  •   Learner-owner may claim the item after signing in the lost and found items log book.
