Overview of courses and subjects offered
Junior High School
The Junior High School Department of Philippine Yuh Chiau School, Inc. aims to:
- Reaffirm, reinforce, and intensify the discipline formation and academic foundations acquired by the learners in the Primary School & Middle School;
- Prepare the learners for Senior High School;
- Develop them to be advocates of friendship and unity, to be globally competent, and contributors in the attainment of local, national, and global progress; and
- Instill in them the core values and Confucian virtues of the ideal Yuh Chiauians.
The Academic Curriculum of the Junior High School Department is based on the Kto12 Curriculum of the Department of Education, and aligned with the development of the 21 st Century Skills. However, some reasonable modifications are made to conform with the distinct educational needs of every Yuh Chiauian.
Philippine Yuh Chiau School offers two (2) curricula in the JHS Department: Special Science Curriculum and Regular Curriculum. The Special Science Curriculum is designed academically to cater to learners who are inclined to Science and Mathematics, and the program was granted Permit to Operate and Government Recognition.
Disciplines marked with single asterisk (*) are offered as advance subjects to learners in the Special Science Curriculum, and those with double asterisks (**) are subjects offered to learners in the Regular Curriculum. Unmarked disciplines are offered to learners in both curricula.
